Another place to ask is in comp.lang.asm.x86 as they have stronger emphasis
on assembly language.

I did, and got a few replies a while ago. No-one really knew the answer,
but I got enough information.

So even though I didn't answer your question, hoped it helped.

No problem,
It's hard to figure someone's experience based on a message, so got to
cover the possibilites that a person is not aware (assume worst case, knows
very little).
