Ok, say I want the 2.6 kernel.

What do I do ?

Can I just compile it on my rh9 system?

Or do I have to upgrade a lot of other 'stuff' ?

Or should I just wait for the R2 of Fedora?

There is some issue about at least modutils. The 2.4.x modutils don't
work on 2.6.x, even the recent versions for 2.4. Probably there are
libc6 issues as well. You probably need a libc linked against
the 2.6. syscalls.

Your decision. You might want to wait until 2.6.0 to become available,
purhaps until 2.6.x without the "testx" suffix to become part of Fedora.
